I'm working on an evil system (rather simple, actually) that will use a bit of AI to detect spam. Well not really AI more like a set of rules based on many spam samples. There's a slight DB issue that I posted at a forum but once it's sorted the system is going up! It won't affect member's posts though, spammers have a very specific pattern that legit members don't have so the system detects this easly.

Yepp!

Here's how it will go for them:

- user enters post (reply or new topic)
- user hits submit
- user get's blank page with a message saying he is classified as a spammer and to check back later if it's a false positive
- user may attempt to use a different IP, apon doing so, will realize he is banned
- at the admin end, the post will be in the moderation queue and if it really is spam then the IP will be sent to blacklist sites, and I will probably set a subnet rule to track down activity on that subnet for a while.

The system will also include basic troll detection.
