Turing Gremlins (Happy Faces of death)

Post by Death »

Has anyone ever notices that in the dos version of Turing, there are times when you get the TURING GREMLINS? (Or as my former co-worker Nigel would say: THOSE DAMN HAPPY FACES OF DEATH!!!). Basically, turing was a buggy programming language. Whenever you would copy and paste a whole bunch of stuff, the lines would shift over and go all screwy, so you figure, HEY WHAT'S GOING ON?! Then, if you pressed F2 to paragraph, the original ASCII character 001 (Or for the ASCII Illiterate, a little HAPPY FACE character) would appear. Well, Alan Turing WAS a little crazy, maybe the bug was intentional? :P. Anyways, if you ever got that problem, press F2 to paragraph. This should fix the problem, all you need to do is backspace the gremlins :biglaugh:

I never did anything in turing but it sounds really reliable. Maybe we should make an OS with it. Instead of a BSOD it can be a blank black screen with a happy face in the middle. <_>

Ya, they have an OS like that already. It's called Windows :roflmao2: . Instead of happy faces of death, if you listen real closely when the blue screens pop up, you can hear Bill Gates whispering "You're SCREWED" in a devilish manner.
