Hey there people ive got a sapphire radeon 9200se atlantis had it for a few months (Cant afford to upgrade to anything decent yet!!} yes well as i was saying had the card for a few months used to play farcry and unreal tournament no sweat on my amd 2.4ghz 1 gig ram and so on computer but now ive got fed up with the card it will run games ok when detail is in high but silly little things like its slow and jerks for a second can really piss u off so you'd think turn the detail down should be ok. Wrong it still does it but only on certain games i was talkin to a freind who suggested getting a bios update but when i looked ive found NOTHING can anyone help (and before you suggest it ive checked the sapphire site and come up with nothing
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

If you mean a bios update for the video card, here you go:
http://www.techpowerup.com/softmod/
http://www.techpowerup.com/bios/
Be sure to back up, you can really fsck things up!
Hope this helps

are you sure it is the card?
winxp has system set up to run the system op's when the cpu is in low usage.
that would be the file system doing a on the fly defrag and other things that keep xp in working order or it might be some other program like win update running and making the game jerk when it is starting up and checking for updates.
still also there is always the heat when you run farcry and un real they really put the heat to the cpu and if it is say a little dusty in the computer case the air might not get to the cooling fins thus making the old heat jerk like on old pent3 and other smaller cpu's use to do when they got hot.
if that is the case then it might be the reason that xp has its own built in software cpu cooler and that will start shutting areas down in the cpu to try and cool it if it is getting hot. so clean out the dust from in the case get a can of compressed air and use that to blow the dust out.
if you have water cooling then you can ignore the heat reason for the jerkiness.
but is there enough air getting to the video card too. that needs all the air it can get also.
mine are the simple things to try but i thought i would say them incase you just over looked them.

Those are good ideas too
In the radeon 9200's case, if you use the Softmod link I posted, it will enable overclocking, which may help (albeit at increasing the heat, which will require better cooling). Also sometimes using the latest bios on a VG helps too, but not too much.

This is a great card here for an awesome deal, and accounting for euro to us, I think you should be able to afford it.
