I felt the need to post these, but since it's far from even looking productive, I'm not going to do an official update just yet on the SBBS site, but here are some screen shots of some of the work so far. There's still LOTS to do. Even the simple things like the nav links I did not figure out completly yet, I can't figure out how to make it like a directory where it goes index -> forum -> subforum1 ->subforum2 etc so for now it will be index - > location for everything, and for forums there will be an [up] option to go up one forum.
Right now the forum does not really support categories, but that will change, probably by the beta. But it does support unlimited sub forums.
It's making the code efficient that's the hard part, minimizing sql queries etc... is challenging to consider all the background work that goes on.

No luck! So far the skin is W3C compliant too! Once I have an online version of it I'll validate every page to make sure. The only thing is that IE sometimes requires non-W3C compliant code for things to work properly. But as long as it looks good in most browsers is what counts, and most people make their own skin anyway which is what I would expect for any forum.
