vid card problems

Post by medicineman »

hey guys-
its been a while since ive been around (things have been running smoothly). but i have problems again. so im back.

anyway i just bought a refurbed ATI 9100 pro 128mb ddr agp card. i got it installed and now everything runs like crap. everything i try to do on my pc is very slow. i have 256 megs of ram on a 1.4 ghz t-bird running xp. when my gf2 gts 32mb ddr card was installed i had zero problems. when i try to start any game the pc shuts down and restarts. even when i try to view a graphic screensaver it will crash. but the card is recognized and says its working properly. when i goto contrlo panel-display-settings it shows up like i have 2 monitors running with one disabled :grade11math: anyone have an idea of what it might be or does it sound like the card is trash? and i have updated with the latest drivers. it (pc) runs like it has no memory to use.

med

Sounds like a driver issue... did you try installing updated drivers?
