Anyone know why a contact would be added to your list that you didn't add? I'm thinking it may be a security glitch in 6.1 version of Instant Messenger.

Two things I can think of offhand, but note that I haven't actually us3ed the real MSN Messenger in ages, so I dunno.

1) some kind of MessengerOutlookOE "Feature" that automatically adds outlook contacts to your buddy list

2) You [or someone else] is loading your messenger account elsewhere and new contacts added there got merged into your buddy list

Yeah, especially if it stayed logged in, it could be someone else went and added a contact. Contacts are stored on the msn server so even if it was added on a different PC, it will still apear no matter where you are. Same goes with ICQ and probably every other messaging client.

No one uses the pc but me. I have found out it appears to be a flaw in the program and this will happen, for some unknown reason. Go figure!
