Colors Suddenly changed......

I have no idea how this happened, I do not think TweakUI affects the color of the system.
While i was playing with TweakUI (I remember i didn't make any changes, or maybe yes, and i forgot), i clikc "OK" to leave teh program, then the color of my system suddenly becomes like 8 bit colors (but it says it is 16Bit on the DIsplay Properties --> Setting).....I tried to restart, no luck.

Any ideas why?

I couldnt find the EDIT button, so i'll just reply this.....

I wanted to rephrase what i just said.
First of all, I am using Nvidia Gforce4 MX.

When I was playing with my computer, my screen suddenly gone black for 1 sec. (It feels like when you turn of your monitor and turn it on right away) Then what I see is horrible color on my screen and all the icons, the color had changed to 8bit color.

Then I right click on the desktop -> Properties -> Setting. It says that i am currently in 16bit mode. So i changed to 32bit and change it back to 16bit..The color still looks horrible.

Then i thought maybe there are some problems with the driver, so i uninstalled it , and installed an more updated version. Same thing happens, 16 bit colors loos like the 8bits color.........

I also tried to update monitor driver...blah, no luck.

But , 32 bit color is normal........

Does anyone have any ideas why this happens?

Hmmm that's weird about the edit. For the colors, have you tried setting it back to 32-bit?

When i select 32 bit, it is normal.

btw, actually, only the icons's color changed, the title bar, tool bar appears in regular colors, sorry for i didn't point this out on the msg before.

btw, i just found out it is a bug in the TweakUI program.......

I think i just found the solution, i'll just post it here incase somebody else needed it.....

Alright, here is the solution for those of you who uses TweakUI and had ecountered this bug.

Start the regedit program and correct the registry entry for XP icons [HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PaneldesktopWindowMetrics] "Shell Icon BPP"="16" "Shell Icon Size"="32"
