hehe, the infamous zero wing shot. Pretty nifty, and some darn slow loading text but not actually hard to do. It's pretty obvious that whoever made that used an image -> ascii program.

Oh yeah that's right never thought of that, there is such thing as programs that do this. Still pretty cool though. Because it's lines of text it actually looks like an old video game.
I should try and find an emulator for this game, sounds like it's a really funny game.

I think I've got the game somewhere if you want it. The offender is the the horribly translated Sega Genesis port of Taoplan's Zero Wing, a decent, though not spectacular, horizontal scrolling space shooter. The engrish dialog only appears at the very begining and end though, and there's no dialog at all in the arcade version.
You can also check out a couple of screen shots at Zany Video Game Quotes one of the sites that helped bring this game to fame, though as you may guess thee are incrediblely sick of that particular game at this point.
