DOS attacks

It apears the data centre that hosts this site is battling DOS attacks and this is why it's down.

I have a suspicion I know who is responsible, but not entirely sure.

Not enough info was posted so it's hard to tell what servers are being attacked, it might not even be this one.

I found this shoutbox comment quite interesting, and it was then removed less then half an hour later.

Looks like the war is still on. But not to worry, I don't think trolls are too likely anymore because of my insane php tactics when I do get trolls.

Just thought I'd let everyone know why we've been having problems, and hopefully it will stop. The server has been up pretty long so far though, so I don't quite were effected by the DoS attack, but the screen shot I have is ironic that it happened at the same time.

haha, I can just imagine what I'd find in there. I'd probably stay just as suprised as walking into a slaughter house.

yo, I think that all your bits flash didn't help this much red. You can't act all innocent no matter how many warnings you put up above that thing. You put their faces on the net and mocked them and you wonder why they don't stop? They have volumes of members dedicated to them, all they have to do is spread some propoganda about you and you have what you have now.

yep that is right the flash did not help things.

they dont seem to care if they have a good help forum or not only that they like to find some one to make trouble for.

but still red did you never hear of stelth before?

Actually, they did not get to see the flash till after.

I made it, published it, but never advertised it to them. There was lot of "squirrel" talk as usual, but this time it came out more.

Hopefully by AD 2102 war will be the end.

Not the beginning.

Also, we can't forget all the harassing emails I've had in the past. Have to stay ahead.

Haha that makes me think, they have this "stealth ban" policy, and the script is messed up and makes the script time out.

I just confirmed with the host and it seems the host's servers did not get attacked, it's just that the DoS attacks are slowing down the whole network.

So it was just a coincididence that it all happened at the same time. I had a feeling somethign was fishy about this situation since this dos attacks seems to be on the successfull side.

Actually, I don't think they did get my email with the flash. I put a tracker in it and still nothing.

red, you posted it on the net. They do not have to be invited to see it. I can't remember where I found it, most likely A/F, but im sure some of their loyal users lurk there, you know. Im sure it got bit benders attention, but either way, just stop talking about it.

Actually they used to do that, but not anymore. I have not seen any of their IP ranges match in a long time. (got a way to know if they go to any forum I go to... php)

The whole dos attack was a false alarm so it's pretty much over. But the whole harassing issue is a totally different story, they can say what they want in their underground forum, no one sees it anyway. It just gets me how some people can be so evil hearted and say the type of things they say/want to do to people. They don't just talk crap about me, but other people, and the fact that they get away with it like that is what bothers me. It's not right.

But I think what does not help is that I have a few friends who have been going there lately.

But you're probably right, we should try to avoid mentioning it. I find since the whole issue they've had less active members. In fact, when one of the emails got out to public, they lost lot of members, so it's best we don't bash them here if others coming here don't know who they really are.

To get back on topic, I did not hear anything else about the DOS attacks, but I think they are pretty much over since I did not have any trouble getting on lately, I think the server has stabelized.
