I've been pondering about adding caps to hp/stam/mana as well as regens, as with the larger variety of artifacts it is easy to get rediculously high hp.
I've been thinking of maybe the following caps:
hp: 150
stamina: 150
mana: 150
all regens at 25
Thought I'd bring this up before applying it.

If your concern is too much HP, cap HP and HP regen. Why cap mana regen? Anyone can spam heal with 5 mana regen, so 30 won't save them anyway...
But on the flip side, it will make mages nearly useless in PvM. My mage relies on high mana regen in order to bring down mobs with uber HP. The mobs keep getting harder, but the players keep getting more mushy.

25 is still a lot of mana regen. With med thats 35 and with focus thats 40. (I think)
But yeah hp is the biggest problem so I could cap the rest higher.

I think 150 is still very high Id go for at least 125, 150 is just still high.

Mana on most other shards you can easily get close to 200 anyways, so the 170+ that some of us have here isn't out of the question.
As for HP... I don't know. Would be nerfing my guild members basically. haha.

Yeah thanks a lot guys, once again iam friggen first one on the shard to find something what half of the shard thinks is worth nerfing. This time it is the 170hp, i find it funny how somehow magicaly everything i invesdtange to make my character better gets nerfed.
You could have told this before i worked my ass off to get the items to provide this type of hp.

And squirrel about your tank, i dont think it was hard when we fought you guys in khaldun.

EVER though that maybe, maybe you could counter the high hp like normal people try to do when they find someone who they cant beat, but no you whine about it instead.
Some people talkign about hp on this topic i havent even seen pvping, and i can tell them something, get that 170hp and come duel me, i kill you anyways and so will do most of the EQ
So my point is, what about if you stop crying like little babies and try actualy do something instead of whine.

From a PvM standpoint, I consider myself a normal level player. I don't consider myself good at PvP at all. Anyway, from a PvM standpoint, I rely more on mana than hitpoints because most of my characters are mages. Between mana and mana regeneration, if those go down, I am affected more. Lower HP just means I need to heal more often.

Hector is somewhat right.
I can beat him. And I can beat him with a character that only has 97 hit points.
So Technically, HP isn't a HUGE deal, providing the other person knows what they are doing.

As long you can have 40 LMC (which is easy here), you can PvM with 0 mr and just 100 med. Thats what my PvM mage has, and I dont need anything else. High MR allows the mage to drop meditation for another skill, but this makes meditation nearly useless. 10 mr + 100 med = uber. =)
Stam regen = no need to cap that.
HPR = its not that bad, it just heals you for like 3 hpr (30hpr) per second. And its not possible to get over 50hpr here.
HP = I agree with Craig. But thats comming from someone who used to have 166 hp. Hector, you are not even close to be the first to find this. I've told Squirrel about this possible issue when I had sent him the cloak's script.
Mana = Huh, no need.
Stam = No need. (swing speed is caped here, forgot?)

Yeah I'm not so worried about hp personally, I may not be able to do anything with my pvm char but with my pvp one I still have a half decent chance. Just takes lot of evil omen blood oath and such and lot of mortals.
But I was thinking generally, and I want to avoid people from being able to hit like 200 hp with 150 stamina and 150 mana, or maybe even 200 of each, etc... since its probably possible.

Its definately nice to survive a sudden DF blood oath though. Normally when I see a 130 over my head, in yellow, everything turns black and white, but not when I got 160 hp lol.
I was thinking too, to compensate for high hp I can make damage caps higher, like DS and AI, considering they are harder to spam them other shards. Maybe 45 instead of 35.

serioulsy, I think you should leave the hp/stam/mana alone. I have already thought of about 5 ways to change my character around to be even more deadly if 1 thing or another gets nerfed. People need to find ways to make their characters/playstyle stronger. Having LRC as your top priority on your pvp suit seems to be the norm here, its not a very smart opinion.

Something I just thought of that could be cool.
Cap it all at 150, OR select one of 3 "professions" (could be some kind of gump or something)
none: all capped at 150
Mage: mana uncapped, but stamina and hit poitns capped at 125
Archer: stamina uncapped, but hits and mana capped at 125
warrior: hit points uncapped, but stamina and mana capped at 125
The professions would not link to your skills, they'd just be categories, so you can still be an archer and pick warrior or mage, for example.

you are going to make it too complicated for new players. The AoV vets have gotten one change at a time, but imagine coming from demise to here... The game has a built in stat cap. What happened was there are all these items that add stats. Each item is not too bad, but add them up like Hector and I have, and you have a monster.
Here is what would happen if you capped hp at 150: I would lower my str and raise my int. That would allow me enough mana to add magery and eval to my template. Add a good runic bow, which Hector has tons of them... Then you have an even bigger monster than you were trying to get rid of.
