Official: forum currency now called Ice Cubes

Post by Red Squirrel »

Just to make it official, our currency is now called Ice Cubes or ICs for short. And the symbol is $$ which can be reproduced by typing $ twice.

Also, it is displayed in profiles and in posts, how much members have.

As you can see, I don't have as much as everyone else. *hint hint* and I added a donate feature too, not sure if I mentioned anything yet. *hint* :D :D

The next feature will be the lottery. The way this will work is that there will be a lottery game that will be "on" and there will be a number from 1 to 100 or whatever, and you can buy a ticket and guess what the number is. As soon as someone guesses the number, they get all the money that everyone paid so far and the database is then cleared and a new fresh game is on. I might even make it so it announces a winner in the shoutbox or something.

In fact, if it was not so late I'd start it now, but by the time I get into it I'll have to go to bed which sucks. Oh well, I think I know how this can be done easly so I'll code it tomorow. B)

Yep, I think it's now starting to get somewhere. I really like how it shows in posts now. Took me everything to get that to work, and it turned out to be simple. Still don't know why I had a problem, but the solution was so simple no use fussing over that problem.

What's nice about this is that when guests see it they will wonder what it is and click on it and see what it's all about. A bigger chance of getting new members interested and wanting to participate.
