smiley search box!

When you click on "show all" when posting, you get a small search box, enter keywords and you can search for smilies.

I also added a new database field for keywords so I will start adding relevent keywords to each smiley. But right now the search mostly searches for the gif name and the code as most keyword fields are empty.

I did not realize this but we have well over 300 smilies here! That's just insane.

And now that I have a search feature I'll add more. I just found it loaded too slow so I did not want to add so many, but now it will go well with the search. If you want a specific smiley, just type it in and click. (ex: if you forget the code).

So I hope everyone enjoys this feature.

That is really cool!

Is there a way to add a link back to all the smilies so you don't have to exit that window and click on the "Show All" link again?

I really like that.

Just hit search with nothing in the box, I programmed it to just ingore the whole search mechanism when there's nothing in the box.

Yep, that's why I figured we need a search bad.

I'll try to do about 30 of them each day and add keywords so if you type "death" you get any smilies that die, if you type "gun" you get smilies with guns etc...

Right now there's about 40 or so of them that have proper keywords. Once they are all neatly organized, I'll add another few hundred or so. There's a mod somewhere to mass add smilies, so I'll use it.

Later on there will be an option in the cybervillage to submit a smiley, it will cost something. Need to figure out what this currency can be spent on, so that will be one of them.
