Software to change the color of the BSOD
This is pretty cool. Mine is now red on the P3 computer.

Did not bother on this one as I never got a BSOD since I built this thing... only when I was trying to get some unsuported windows hardware to work but that's it.
I'm testing it right now... I just need to crash the P3 and I'll be all set...

Wow I still did not crash it yet.
It's actually surviving a DoS attack! I think someone switched the tower on me. I usually crash that no problem.
*tries different windows exploit*

I would like a GSOD!
In 2000 (XP, etc.), can't you change the colour with a registry edit?

Not sure never tried. Don't really need to since I never see it. But I assume XP must show it more often though.takahita_tsukino wrote: I would like a GSOD!

No, I believe XP just restarts and totally bypasses the BSOD by default...Red Squirrel wrote:Not sure never tried. Don't really need to since I never see it. But I assume XP must show it more often though.takahita_tsukino wrote: I would like a GSOD!

One time it just restarted when I tried to change my page file size. I thought that was a bit odd.

but red you dont need a program just to turn the colors into something different.
this can be done by a program that does a lot more then just that.
the program is free and is called
" Xteq-setup 6 " and can be found on many if not all major download sites.
as well as its own xteq.com i think is its site.
they have this set in the program for the last 4 years. i thought every body had this program and knew that?

XTeq Systems X-Setup. Definitely a must have for any power user, it's like a plug-in based tweakUI on steroids. It'll even let you do some potentially harmful things too, though those plug-ins are disabled by default, and you'll get a big fat warning if you try to use them.
