An Observation,

Have any of you noticed that there seems to be a lack of comprehensible English on some sites? It seems that, with the ever-growing popularity of IM-ing and E-mail, we find ourselves left without a good grammar structure? I mean, I can understand it, but take the article on the home page, the Review of Serial ATA, or rather, the Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 (you can find that article here). It's almost painful to try and read through it, there are so many gaps in the wording. Oh well, you can't win 'em all.

Haha my articles are probably worse. I sort of don't notice these things. But if I'd go back and read some of my first articles I'd probably spot things though. :D

I think electronic communications are hurting the English language.

American spelling is bad enough... :roflmao2:

Now what really worries me is that some students actually use this e-lingo on their formal English! :bsod: :bsod: :bsod: Some teachers go crazy over a simple split infinitive. Imagine how crazy those teachers would get over an LOL. :roflmao2: :roflmao2: :roflmao2:

I should try that. Writting an essay in 1337 form. That would be so funny. I can make the essay on how bad people write English and blame it on electronic communication. In closing I can say that I'm glad computers have not affected me in a negative way. :roflmao2:

Ok I got this thread back. I never even noticed that it was gone... These sql errors are getting bad.

I did not have a backup so that's why it looks funny. And the thread starter is false. I'll see if I can go fix it in phpmyadmin
