Canada ranked 8th by the UN

After nearly 10 years ranked No. 1, Canada has dropped to eighth place on the United Nations list of countries in terms of living conditions. The United Nations Human Development Index first ranked Canada No. 1 in

It retained top spot until 2001, when it dropped to third behind Norway and Sweden.

I wonder if it's because most of our class failed math. Education is one of the factors... :roflmao2:

That still isn't bad though, Red. B)

Japan is lower than your country. :banghead: :roflmao2:

I would love to go to Norway or Sweden. I really don't care which one. B)

EDIT: I would rather go to Norway. I have made up my mind. :roflmao2: :roflmao2:

Yeah and they said it's not really a bad thing, it just says there might be things they can improve. Well with the two latest stupid laws passed, it does not help (gay and lez weddings and legal pot use) but maybe it's just something else.

I never knew we were first though, that's pretty good.

i look at the failing of education as a direct result of the advancement of technology. the more technologically advanced we get, the more education will degrade since you can already see how education is moving more towards iconified education. teach enough for everyone to do their future jobs which will, in the future, be just button pushing jobs.

Yeah, and I find now the way they judge a "good worker" is by how much education he/she has. Before it used to be simply, if you are a good worker and good at what you do. I like using Math as an example because it's my weekest point. I can program these high tech scripts with php, use whatever math I might need if it needs to calculate any formulas, but don't ask me to get 90 on a math exam lol.
