Do You Have A/C?

Post by Red Squirrel »

Givin that it's so hot now, I thought of a good poll to do. :D

We don't have A/C at all here! But my mom is thinking of getting it, central air.

Right now I have an ice cooled unit blowing right at me, I built it in less than an hour with a spare 486 case and some creative airflow idea. Not really working, but there is cold air coming out and it does help a bit. Thing is, I need to change the ice often so I have to open and close the case all the time. Using the hot water freezes faster trick to keep up with the ice demand.

Strange weather...hotter in the north. I'm in the south and we have not had really hot weather yet and it's almost July!

I have another Canadian friend and it was 95 there today.

Wow, ferenheit I hope... :D

Our weather has a symetric line from one extreeme to the other, that line is 0C. Our cold winters can reach up to -40C, and a very hot summer day can reach almost +40C, but the hottest I remember is in the 30's though, today was around 35C. But I've seen 40's with the humidex. I've also seen -50's with the windchill factor, in winters.

Heat??? Please send some this way Red & Wren. It's 17C at the moment here and there's a lot of wind :grade11math:

21C is normally considered cold here, but this is unbearable ;)

It hasn't been bad lately. I wish it was colder, but I can settle with this kind of weather.

I am sure that hurricane will bring us rain and keep everything cool!

It's been cold here lately as well. Rainy, boring days. I just hope we don't get rainy weather in the mornings when I start summer school. that will totally blow. I'll have to bike in that! :banghead:

If wet clothes aren't an issue, I love to ride a bicycle in the rain. I wouldn't want to for school though.... :banghead:

I've been out in the monsoon like rain we are having from the low pressure that moved in from the gulf.

Yep, the glasses thing is a pain, we need some kind of wiper blades so we can see in the rain. :roflmao2:

Yep, but I wonder if oil would work. Maybe if I would dip them in motor oil or something it would make the water come off. An experiment to try....

I don't think oil would work. You might try a product called, "Rain-X". It is used on car windshields and works great. Come to think of it ,I need to put some on my windshield. :P
