Duct Tape Uses

Post by rovingcowboy »

did you see the show on tech tv i think it was tech live.?

there is really some one making clotheing items out of duct tape.

not my style but they really were pretty well done. :)

not the made by bubba an ed style   if you know what i mean.

but did you know that duct tape is the 200 mph tape. i seen a couple of race's in nascar that had to tape some panel on the car more then once and they used duct tape.

also it was invented for the army and was really made in camey green for a type of waterproof tape. then when they got back from the war they went back to a normal life and the ones that were heating and plumbing persons needed a tape and use it.

that is why the name went from duck tape to duct tape. you seen right that is not a miss spelling the guys in the army were calling it duck tape.

and you can get some duck tape from waterford NY. that is where the company is that makes it. their logo is the yellow duckling.

:D

Interesting story about the tape, rovingcowboy.

I remember my daddy talking about driving a duck in the Army, during WWII, which was an amphibian (land/water) vehicle. Might have used some of that duck tape on a duck!

I'm sure that tape was used a lot, never knowing it would still be around, all these years later. :D
