Case Cooling

Post by Red Squirrel »

A new article on case cooling has just been released. Check it out here at IceTeks and let me know what you think and if I should change/add something. Too late to go submit it to the affiliates, will do tomorow. See you guys tomorow, I'm gone for today. :)

one thing red. heh, hate to be nit-picky, but blowing on your cpu doesn't do crap, the object is to get the heat away from it. Obviously you know that, and explain it correctly later in the article, but that little contradiction in th beginning does make things a little confusing at first.

Oh never though of it. I ment blowing against the CPU's heatsink but that's not made clear, so I'll change that after school or just remove the whole "blowing on it" part. :)

:roflmao2: :roflmao2: I reread that and it does sound like that's what I ment. Well it works with 486's...

Case quieting, I can always do that later on too, I'd have to try something out first so I can actually know what I'm talking about but it's not like I ever tried these fans configuration I mentioned so I can just go with common sense once more like using rubber thingies for screwing in fans and stuff.

You're welcome, I'm sure, but why do you need all those fans unless you are trying to make the pc do something it was not designed to do?

Two fans is usually enough though, but some peeps like me like to push things and add more.

I'd like to put as many fans as I can fit on this thing. Not only will it make it sound more powerful, I might reach a db level high enough to block my dad's snoring. I'm a few hundred db's off right now though.

Mine has always been loud, but the newer cpu fan is not that bad.

That stock amd fan was so loud! I'd like to somehow duct the heat sink to a 120mm fan, somehow... :)

Switch to Pentium and you won't have the heat and noise problem. :roflmao2:

My PC is sort of noisy too.... I use a p4.

That may be because my room is hot! I keep my door closed most of the time and keep all the lights on. :banghead:
