I've been trying to get the server to recognize a new raid card to no avail. Ended up aborting plans as it just wont work. There is still a random crash issue that happens where all the VMs crap out, so I wanted to try a new controller. So that failed, I'll just have to put up with it until I can afford to build a new server.
Meanwhile, as a totally separate thing I decided to grow the raid array by 1TB. Turns out all the screwing around in the bios I did ended up disabling something and now VirtualBox wont start. I rather not cancel the raid rebuild operation, just in case.
