Can't Log In.

a few pals and myself are joining the server but i seem to be having trouble logging on my client is 7.0.18 not sure what else im doing wrong any help would be cool.

*edit msg i get when trying to log in there is a problem with communicating with origin. please restart ultima online and try again.

Hmmm. Try following these steps and see if you are able to connect:

How do I connect?
Step 1, download game client:

http://www.uoherald.com/downloads

Download the Classic Client

After downloading then installing it, be sure to run it atleast once and allow it to patch!

Ensure your patch version is 7.0.18.0 (Patch 95) or equivalent. (some earlier or later patches may possibly be compatible)

Step 2, download encrypter/decrypter client:

http://razor.runuo.com/download.php

This will download Razor, and will allow you to connect the the UOValor Server

Then when razor opens, type the following address for the host:

login.uovalor.com port 1337

Not using Razor, or not having the right server info in Razor are the only reasons I could think of that it would do that.
Or maybe if you had Use OSI Encryption checked.

Just need one version of razor. That's step 2 of the download process, I'll reword it as it's a bit misleading.

Tried Re-installing uo and razor and still same message, could it be anything else?

Try to see if you can telnet to the port.

telnet login.uovalor.com 1337.

That will rule out a network related issue. Our host is currently experiencing some intermittent issues, though overall everything is up, but there are minor blips going on. You could be hitting one.

Also ensure encryption is not turned on in Razor. You need to open razor and not UO directly when connecting.

go to start, run, and type cmd

in the black window, type:

telnet login.uovalor.com 1337

If you get a blank screen, it means you can connect. Hit enter a few times and it should bring you back to the prompt. If it just sits there saying "connecting..." it means there's a network issue between you and the shard.

Once you confirm that you can connect that way, then we know the issue is at the client.

So you are patched to 7.0.18.0 correct? Also when you open UO, you are running Razor and not UO directly right? I just want to make sure. In razor you should be connecting to login.uovalor.com port 1337.

could i be banned? i cant remmber ever playing this server and tbh i dont do things that get me banned but suppose gotta check all possiblities...

Hmmm try this:

Your version of UO should be 7.0.18.0 Patch 95
Your version of Razor should be V1.0.13

If you are using windows vista or windows 7, ensure you are running your applications as an administrator as they often update and make changes.

When you connect with Razor, make sure it looks like this:

There is problem communicating with blahblahblah.
Is there autoaccount or not? Didnt find that from the forums. I do have right version of uo and razor...

I too cant login to shard , get same error. Everything is properly updated and I can connect to other shards with no problem.

Checking the connection process right now and seeing if something is wonky somewhere along the road.

I think I found the culpit. It seems auto account creation is not working correctly. I have just added the fix to TC1. I was just passing by real quick and I have other stuff to do so I don't have time to test it myself. Once I test it I will release to live.

Used to be till I found a deal at Carat Networks in Hamilton Ontario. I save 100 bucks a month compared to The Planet, which is now Softlayer (they got bought out).

We are in need of a more powerful server (hence all the lag) so once I get the new donation system coded, that will be where the money will be going.
