Dumb question, but here goes.

Post by Flameeater »

I know this may be a stupid question but I am going to ask it anyway.

Can one of my characters give an item to another one of my characters? If so, how is this done?

There's many ways this can be done. The safest is if you own a house, or if you have a second account (you are allowed up to 3 accounts). With a house you can simply put the item in a container (make sure it's locked down or secured) and log in with the other character and grab it.

If you have a second account then you can just hand the item to another character on that account then hand it to the character you want by logging in with it.

If you don't have a house or second account, a less safe way (but probably safe here) is to put the item on the ground, log out, log in with the other char, then go get the item. Idealy you should do this in the middle of nowhere and have the other char logged out in that location.

If you have a rune book or other travel means you are best to go to a stable so you don't have to wait 5 minutes before logging in again.

Just don't do that trick in a town, as someone is more likely to see it and take the item. The safest is to use a house or 2nd account character.

Thanks Red!

Another question, if it is OK for me to ask here... Do you know of anywhere that can help me to understand how the armor and weapon system works in this game? I know that may seem like an obvious question, and it probably is, but it seems a bit different then what I am normally used to.

Basically with blacksmithing, it "seems" as I am almost ready to make the best stuff in a relatively short time. Which seems odd to me. And I am certain I am missing something here. Thanks again!

Armor and weapons are a complex and thorough set of systems.

Basically armor helps you reduce damage and can provide you with bonuses to enhance certain other things OR give you added abilities. For example, you can have armor that increases you hit point regeneration, mana regeneration, provide you with additional protection from certain elements (such as poison or fire) and a lot of other properties. You can use this as a guide:

Weapons are similar but all weapons are unique in speed, damage, range and the special abilities you can use with them. You can use this as a guide:
