Teamspeak 3 Server for UOValor

I think it would be extremly cool for UOValor to have its own Teamspeak 3 server! Can you amagine if your having a problem in the game and you can talk to Red Squirrel directly! Also talking to a person directly whilst doing something in my opinion makes the game 100% better, Like if your going to kill Monsters or Players and you can actually be like *quikly get that monster over their, oh shit its killing me come help me !* how much easily would that be instead of typeing?

If you dont know what Teamspeak 3 (its much like ventrilo but BETTER, and you can create your own servers for free) it is when you join a server by typing in a ip address and port (and a password if it has one) and you join the server then you can join differnt channels like *general valor discussion* or *help channel* you can also talk to people on their by typing if you dont have a mic (kinda like skype but BETTER).

Things that make Teamspeak 3 so good:

#Anyone thats on the server can make their own password protected subchannels, like if you have your own guild and want to talk with your own guildys
#Can make your own FREE server
#The server is online as long as the host has his computer running (i dont know much about those things but if Red Squirrel restarts his computer you just cant acses the server untill he goes online again(Red doesnt actually has to have teamspeak 3 running on his computer)), Unlike a skype call
#And as a user of it myself i think its THE BEST and so easy to use

It's a good idea and I would certainly agree to it in the future once things pick up. We used to have a ventrilo server hosted and moderated by Onykage but I don't think it is used much anymore due to a lower population as well as Onykage no longer being a part of AOV.

I have used teamspeak a long time ago and it is a very useful tool for communication. That being said, however, not everyone is set up to use it and some people prefer to use in game text chat instead. The teamspeak server would need to be moderated by somebody trustworthy. Red Squirrel and myself cannot be around to actively moderate things as we have a lot of work ahead of us. We can host and run it, but moderating it will have to be done by somebody else.

We are also researching into ways to increase the knowledge base and information availability both in game and through answering questions. We have an exciting new information system planned for development which I won't go into right now until development has actually started. We are also looking at ways to improve the paging system so that the admins don't have to be in game in order to respond and aid players.

Having a teamspeak server will be a great asset to the shard and will work in accordance to what we already have (general chat) as well as future improvements.

If someone wants to host one I can do a DNS redirection, but we don't have the funds at this point (nor the time to manage it).

I believe onykage's still works but not sure if it lets people on or not. I was able to telnet into the port and it worked, well the vent one, not sure about TS as I don't know what port it's running on.
