Draft beer? Yes please...

Post by DOCTOR THUNDER »

Just so everyone knows, my roommate and I hooked up a draft beer system at my house. Right now we have 1 beer on tap, but we will soon be expanding to 2 or 3.

It is homebrew, so we made the beer too. Right now we are drinking a hopped up pilsner. Up to bat is something that should turn out similar to bud light with a little more flavor. Its what my roommate likes to drink, to each their own. On deck is an American Pale Ale, with a little more hops added. I can't wait for that one.

Soon we will have something similar to Bell's Two Hearted Ale. That is the best beer I have ever tasted.

Try doing a Kolsch, they are super easy and taste awesome, I made one for Baseball season last year and it turned out great.

Too bad you can't get Bells in Chicago. The 2 Hearted Ale is really a great beer. There are a decent number of places that have it on tap here in GR, but that will change as soon as Oberon comes out.

How many gallons did you make? I think I have tried a Kolsch that was imported.
