what is the highest luck you have gotten on a suit?

From the info I have seen, the max luck that effects the game is 1500. Please correct me if I am wrong. Perhaps Red or Death could concur or dissent on this.

But disregarding that, what is the highest luck suit you guys have put together? I am shooting for 2000, can it be done? has it been done before? Or will my character turn into a pancake, just like they told chuck Yeager when he said he was going to break the sound barrier?

I want to know what d has for luck on his characters.

Bonus points to anyone who knows what I am talking about in the 2001+ option!

I allways here the cap is 1500 i have 900 at the moment but thats with out jewlery tali or sheild/wep. But even then i got crappy resists. It would be even enough to get 2000 luck with all the luck artys out their, And even with 900 luck i got a lesser aoa's in 2 mins.

Without having looked at the code, luck is usually capped at 1500. This cap tends to apply to loot and certain artifact chances. In actually, I don't believe OSI has ever actually capped luck but that being said, the luck formula OSI uses in general is complex and is subject to debate in overall effectiveness.

What I can tell you on AOV, however, is that luck does have an effect on certain custom drops. Artifact drops are usually capped at a certain luck factor (such as demitel bosses) but other "unique" drops such as pet parrots or "special" items drops are not capped due to the modifier being of a lower factor (the item's value also being a factor).

At this point in writing, the luck property should be taken with a grain of salt. In terms of loot, it will have an impact, but not as visible or as straightforward as it was meant to be. Luck's main purpose is for artifact chances and its second purpose for certain unique drops. If you are using luck to try and boost the overall loot packs of the things you are killing, you aren't going to get a large bonus out of it.

It is more. The most I think is 2145, unless talismans can have over 100? So you could even have a weapon with 0 and could still be over 2000.

Just for Doc's amusement, although I wasn't bothered with finding a weapon in my house with more than 125 luck... too bad I traded my luck boots away a long time ago.

can you tell me what you have on your suit in the way of customs and arties? I forgot about AoF, I have one somewhere that I should put on one of my tamers. And I didn't realize Ring of the Dead has 150 luck on it.

Ring Of The Dead
Lucky Necklace
Armor Of Fortune
Wheel Of Fortune
The Last Book Of Arkkaza
Boots Of Dexterity
Robe Of The Eclipse
Sash Of Greed
95 talisman
100 earrings
140 cap
140 gloves
140 arms
140 legs

Captain's Lucky Boots would add another 75. A 140 weapon would add another 15 luck, and a 100 talisman would be another 5, bringing it to the 2145 I mentioned before. And if it really is possible to make a 200 luck weapon, that would be another 75 instead of 15, bringing to the absolute total to 2205. There are also some arties that are unreleased that could bring the number way beyond that.

Would have gotten it even without Must bring own weapons. I laughed as soon as I read the poll.

I have lots of those. I don't have the spell channelling one though, so without that the weapon would be kinda useless. In order to get that you have to play 20 hours a day and have no life, like d.

I dont really need the sc resource, I have a dress hotkey. Rarely do I have to cast anything except invis anyways.

And... my main tamer is based around paladin casting, not magery. Ponder that! *raises pinky finger to mouth, Dr Evil style*

TBH, I think luck have 0 effect on loot, but it has definite effects on chances to get arties from things such as doom and demitels.

I noted a HUGE difference between my 1900+luck tamer and my mid 1500 luck tamer on artychance. There was about 10 more kills in gaunt on the higher luck tamer, but the difference in artychance was substantial.
