It will match OSI standards for the most part but the intensities will likely be an AOV custom system.
When you kill a lesser monster such as an ettin, you should receive mods comparable to the creature's difficulty, such as level 1 - 3 loot mods (nothing higher). Luck should have an effect on how often it bumps the mods (So if you have high luck, you should be hitting the maximum loot intensity spread).
Likewise, when you kill a yamandon, you shouldn't be seeing loot comparable to a level 1 system (IE: a mongbat).
Unfortunately, the current system is chaotic in that there's no pattern to the spread of intensities, only the amount of loot that drops. That's why you often get crap loot from tougher creatures.
