I'm still shocked at this point. The sound person at our church who I work with (I do sound as well) had to go for an operation and went through it. Was a routine thing that is normally low chance of issues. It was done, everything went fine from what it seemed like, but he died today at the hospital. Not sure of the cause yet. Just scary how fast someone can go. I feel bad since I did not go see him at the hospital. I actually thought about it on Sunday then figured since he already had the operation and was just recovering, that he was doing ok, but I should of went anyway, at least to say hi.
I know he's in a better place now. It's really going to hit me hard when I get to church next Sunday to do sound and he wont be there anymore, and I'll see some of the tapes and CDs with his bad writing on it. He did so much for the church too. Little things people don't really notice, like placing the chairs before the morning service as they are placed in a different way for the "breaking of the bread" service as the table with the wine is in the middle. He took care of the library as well.
He will be greatly missed.
R.I.P. Henry Chenette

Thanks for the sympathys. He will be missed. Not only by me but everyone else involved in the church. He's in a better place now.
To add even more to this, I have a PC in my room right now I was done setting up, it was his new PC that someone was getting rid of so he could have it.

Someone I was close to died today
So I went to his funeral today. I was asked to be honored pale bearer (walk behind the casket as they bring it in).
Was very sad. Apparently his last words were his concerned about who did the sound for the funeral last Saturday and was told I took care of everything then he said I was a good man.
It's just so shocking how fast someone can go. He was going to turn 50 soon, so he was not all that old to pass away. But it does act as a wakeup call to stop being so caught up with our own thing. I was going to go see him at the hospital on Sunday but I figured he was doing ok and just recovering/resting so worked on the shard instead.
He'll greatly be missed at the church that's for sure. Sometimes I still wonder if this is just a dream, but it's reality. Sometimes people can be taken for granted.
