Windows encountered a problem...

So I logged on with my mage and I decided to go to the outside entrance of Destard to mark a rune for my Necro Archer. I recall there and my screen locks up at my house then I get a Windows encountered an error and it forces me to close the Razor program. I try to log back in with him and I get to char screen but when I go to log on it gets the error message again when it goes to bring up my uo window and again forces me to close my window. I tired to log in with another char but had the timeout of my mage in affect an couldnt log on.

I then logged on with my necro archer on my second account and went to rune library to recall there to make sure there was no monsters spawning to protect him if need be. When I recalled to the spot bam Windows Error message and shut me down. Again tried to relog in with the necro char but keep getting the error message.

I am able to log onto both accounts with other chars and actually put in a help request when it happened but had to abort it as I was baby sitting and my friends baby woke up. I won't be on today or pretty much all day tomorrow, maybe tomorrow night otherwise I will be on Sunday night.

If this is a problem that can be fixed before I get back then super cool if not then once I get on if I could get my Chars moved back to a spot that I can log on that would be great too...

I've had this problem when the server and client maps did not match. Is your client at the latest patch level?

I think the last time I patched was when I had an UO account and that was summer of 2007...

When searching free shards I signed up originally for Age of Virtue but they had a message after I created a char that said I was not current with my patch. So I started up my UO app to patch but it kept not completeing and not patching.

You have a site to where i can patch fully to current uo Patches or whatever is required for this shard?

I'll occasionally have this problem with patching up UO. It just errors out.

When it happens I make copies of all my macro files and then uninstall and reinstall. It usually patches up no problem after that. Then I just log onto each character and drop the macro files back into their folder.

Of course, if you don't care about the macros, then just uninstall and reinstall. But to me, it's a pain in the ass to redo all the macros for each character.

Yea well I have no idea where my Samuari Empire disc is.... So that isn't an option as of right now....

It goes like T2A->UOR->TD->AOS->SE->ML->KR->SA. SA isn't out yet and this shard doesn't support KR.

do you need the game in its entirety?

I would recommend that you keep your up client always upto date within atleast 1 patch release.

I have the Ultima Application on my desktop and I must have downloaded Mondains Legacy and just forgot about it. I would like to get my chars back on without having to uninstall and reinstall the UO app. My computer is glitchy and I am afraid I could be opening up a whole other can of worms by doing that...

And I am pretty much addicted again to this damn game almost like I was when I first started playing.... Well maybe not that much but you get the point. I just don't want any problems keeping me from playing for any lenght of time!

And ofcourse my 2 most used chars are the ones stuck!

What I do is I just rename the Ultima Online dir to something else, install clean and then copy over the Desktop folder from the old one to the new one.
