Lucky you. I've gotten a supreme kraken and water elemental from regular nets, but never any supremes from the fabled ones I've dropped. I hope you got some good masterpiece resources from it.

we died about 3 times before we got him he was tough and we all got an aoa all six of us

How rare is Tentacle of the Harrower? shouldent that be harder/more fame? lewl

Wouldn't be as rare as a leviathan as there are wild tentacles of the harrower which spawn in khaldun. The way it works is supremes get a % more fame then their original counterparts. If they have low fame to start off, then they won't get a very high bonus.

Tentacles of the harrower have about 15000 fame
Leviathan has 24000 fame

(Note: Fame is a calculation. You don't actually receive that much fame when killing something, you receive a portion of it depending on a fame formula).

Supremes can be difficult due to their innate abilities. That does not mean that they give better chances. For example, a supreme succubus is probably worse than a balron because of her aura but would give a lower chance than a balron.

After reading this thread it inspired me to get my fisherman out and do a little fishing. As luck would have it the first MIB I got turned out to be a white map. I went the the spot, fished up the chest and retrieved the fabled net. Then I logged on another account, found a good spot and tossed the net. Then I lured the Levi to land and killed it without too much trouble. The bummer was no arti?
So, my question is. What is the arti chance? I did notice a message that said minor arti chance 5.something... And for the fishermen out there. How often do you get the white maps?
edit: I'm not looking for anything real technical like the actual coded chance. Just wanting to hear from other fishermen "about" how often do they get the ancient maps?
Some of the Levi artys would be real handy to have. If the chance isn't like 1 in 10,000 maps I would invest the time into fishing for them.

The chance is about 1 in 25 to get an ancient SOS from a "message in a bottle". Getting one your first shot is lucky indeed.

The artifact chance is roughly about a 1 in 4 chance, but to get that chance, there are certain criteria you need to follow. First off, the tosser should be a fisherman. They're probably GM anyways, but think the minimum required is 70%.

For anyone who kills the leviathan (If the net was tossed by a fisherman of adequate skill), they will receive 1 in 4 chance upon leviathan's death. The fisherman gets the extra perk though. If the fisherman ALSO aids to kill the leviathan AND gets loot rights (Does enough damage), they will get two artifact checks of 1 in 4 chance (This will only show up once in the artifact message system due to design, but you do get 2 chances, IF you toss the net with a fisherman AND fight the leviathan with said fisherman).

Also, keep in mind that 1 in 25 does NOT mean that out of 25 messages in a bottle, you are guaranteed to get one. Some people get lucky through getting some in 10 bottles, while others open up 100 bottles to be greeted with regular ones.

I guess I should clarify. It wasn't my first MIB, I have fished up a few when I first joined this shard. However, it was my first one after reading this thread and setting out to get one.
Thanks for the info though. I think I will give it another go. My fisherman isn't much of a fighter although he is a GM mage. Maybe I will just invite a few guild members to come along and help fight it with me next time. They will get a shot and I will get the bonus chance by using my fisherman to fight it.
