After reading about the disturbances in Magincia from the Sosarian Standard, I decided I would pay a visit to the home of the man mentioned so much within the articles, Jacob FitzOwen.
After a lengthy walk around Jhelom, searching for a sign with his name upon it, I decided to venture past the farmlands. And lo and behold, I see a humble log cabin with a pen full of sheep to the side. I walked up to the door and knocked to no avail, the house was empty. Having nothing else to do, I found an empty spot on the porch and bided my time.
After a time I assumed that Jacob was off on important business and I would try to make contact with him a bit later. So I gather up my staff and make my way to the public moongate to catch a ride to Moonglow. The name of the city had been mentioned many times in the articles as well, and I decided I would try to strike up a conversation with some of the contemporaries of the late Zurol.
Upon my arrival in Moonglow, I decided the most obvious place to find clues would be the Lycaeum, the complex where great scribes and men of immense intellect converge. To me, I was sure I would find information here. Yet the complex is mysteriously empty. I found no scribes, and no sign that the people who were once here knew of the threat to Sosaria by the blackrock elementals. I did happen upon a book that followed a young man on his quest to visit all of the shrines of Virtue though. That was an interesting read.
There was one other location that I had heard mentioned, the Encyclopedia Magicka. A building I was unfamiliar with, but with help from a local, I had soon recieved directions to its location. So with the help of my trusty walking staff, I left Moonglow proper and stepped onto the paths that bisect Verity Isle.
My arrival at the Encyclopedia evoked a gasp. The area was strewn with debris. And there were burnt areas and blood over the floor. Stepping lightly, I began to investigate. After perusing the scorched pages of a few books, I made my way up the stairs and was met with a grim sight. Dark footprints scattered about the room and the mangled, still unburied remains of Zurol in the corner. I shook my head, wondering why nobody had taken the time to bury this brave soul. Perhaps I will ask Jacob about it whenever I manage to meet with him.
I returned to Jacob's house, which was still empty. With a sigh, I sat down on the porch to begin my wait.

Nice. Glad to see somebody has been immersing themselves into the storyline. Keep the stories coming!
