Update [July 11 08] - PVP tourny syst + lots of misc updates

MOBILES

* Did some tweaking to quite a few bosses and monsters:

- Agapite Elemental: Immune Poison LEVEL 4
- Ancient Lich: Summons lesser undead. Can polymorph into another monster to confuse players
- Betrayer: Lethal Poison Gas (Like yamandons). Stunning Blow (Like Golems)
- Bogling: Immune Poison
- Changeling and derivatives such as travesty: no longer turn to naked humans when turning into another monster
- Chaos Daemon: Crushing Blow
- Chaos Dragoon/Elite: Coded in
- Copper Elemental: Reflects all spells. Reflect 50% of melee. Immune level 4 poison
- Crystal Lattice Seeker: No longer leech mana, only stam and hits
- Dull Copper Elemental: Immune L4 poison
- Executioner: Reflects ALL physical damage (Certain chance to, not 100%)
- Fan Dancers: Reflect Physical Damage
- Frightened Orc: An orc that runs away from you.
- Frost Ooze: Damages weapons
- Gargoyle Destroyer: Immune Bard
- Golden Elemental: Immune L4 poison
- Gore Find: Concussion Blow
- Interred Grizzle: Pools of acid labelled "Infernal Ooze".
- Lady of the Snow: Snowball attack
- Meer Eternal: Immune Poison
- Minotaur (All): Stats and Sound IDs changed to fit more accurately
- Oni: Shortened range of angry fire attack
- Savage Rider: Base Damage Reduced. Stomp attack (Area dismount attack. If not dismounted, it paralyzes you). Does more damage to pets
- Savage Warrior: Base Damage Reduced. More damage to pets.
- Shadow Iron Elemental: Immune Poison
- Shadow Wyrm: Chance to inflict L4 poison. Immune L4 poison
- Skeletal Dragon: Triple Pet damage. Removed bone special that summoned undead (Not enough evidence)
- Skeletal/Bone Mage: Can do necromancy
- Solen Queens: Lay cocoons that will hatch solen workers and warriors
- Spynx: Shell coded (Fortune Telling will come later)
- Tentacles of the Harrower: Immune bard and poison. The tentacles have a magical force which nullifies arrows and magic from long range.
- Tsuki Wolf: Rage attack increased
- Verite Elemental: Immune L4 Poison
- Wanderer of the Void: Immune Poison
- Yomotsu Elders: Axe throw
- Yomotsu Priest: Polymorphs to look like other UOSE creatures.
- Yomotsu Warriors: Dagger Throw.

NAMED
- Flurry/Mistral/Tempest/Miasma: Added LOS/NULL check so it does not jump out of bounds
- Queen Lamia: Reduced damage from bows
- Lady Jennifyr: Blueish color, like valorite. Reflects 50% of close melee damage (Only weapons, not bows). Chance to do 6x damage to pets.
- Lady Marai: Reflects ranged damage (Double damage to attacker)
- Master Jonath: Reflects spell damage
- Putrifier: Necromancy and gas attack like yamandons
- Sir Patrick: Flamestrike ability
- Swoop: Hit Points increased as of Publish 48
- Tangle: Like bog things, poison immune and barding immune

CHAMPS AND PEERLESS
- Barracoon: Can polymorph you into a rat, even if you aren't attacking him (Random target). Basic magic spells (Casts quickly but very low damage (No eval)).
- Fleshrenderer: High detect hidden skill
- Harrower: Smack talk (Like Lady Melisande). When the harrower dies, 1 million gold is dropped on the ground (Flames).
- Lady Melisande: Putrid nausea should cause subjects to puke (For effect)
- Lord Oaks: Can sometimes drop "A dirt patch" on the corpse (Rare).
- Monstrous Grizzle: Cacophonic Blast does more harm depending on range.

* Added male version of succubus (called incubus). Incubus are identical to succubus cept black. Incubus are the male equivalents to succubi. Named succubus as well as semidar will not spawn the male equivalent (But might possibly in the future). Succubus do more drain to males and sometimes reflect their spells. Incubus are the same idea but VS females.

* Organized slayer group and added a ton of missing entries. It has received quite a generous reanalysis.

ITEMS

* Changed container gumps for the new elven containers (Bookshelves, armoires, boxes)

* Water gems are now only obtainable from fishing (Sea serpents summoned by fishing poles and water creatures summoned by nets)

* Fixed sound of a few abilities which were wrong

* Writeable books now have 40 pages

* Blade of Agony, which was a custom arty that was never suppose to be in game but got leaked, has now been added as a level 3 peerless artifact. See content DB for crafting requirements.

GM/STAFF

* Fixed crash bug in weapons, which was only triggerable by GMs (changing wep damage combinations to certain values to cause negative number)

* When a staff member places a house it will now default to having invisible sign, be public, and have restrictdecay set to true (This is to speed up creation times for event maps).

FIXED BUGS/EXPLOITS

* Fixed a bug that caused vendors to crash if the owner was null (ex: character deleted)

* Due to confusion with bod rewards that let you go over the cap, the mining and blacksmithy skill bonuses on boots of construction worker and dread miner's gloves have been removed and replaced with other properties.

* It is no longer possible to release pets in guarded regions or 25 tiles within any player. This will prevent pet griefing.

* Fixed an issue with spawners where they would re-randomize the spawn date at system startup. This was an issue for spawners that have a delay of several hours, as it was possible for it to randomize too big of a value for it to spawn by next server wars.

SPELLS/ABILITIES

* Added particle effect for reflect physical

* Fixed buff icon for meditation (it now gets removed when you fully regen)

* The following spells now require real skill to cast:
Necro: Vampiric embrace, lich form, wraith form, horrific beast form
Spellweaving: Reaper form, ethereal voyage
Magery: polymorph, magic reflection, reactive armor
ninjitsu: animal form, mirror image

* Lightning strike is now capped at 30 for ranged weapons and 40 for melee

MAINTENANCE/CLEANING

* Did tons of code cleanup in mobile aura related code and other parts of the system.

* Did lot of other misc non mobile related code cleanup as well. This is RunUO, its a mess from the start, and theres tons of cleanup to do. ;)

MAPS/SPAWNS

* Updated server maps to match 6.0.8.0 in case any changes were made by EA (none that I've noticed)

EVENTS/QUESTS

* Automated PVP system introduced into the game. It will be tested throughout the week.

* When an event starts immediatly after the same event ran (ex: a repeat-run) the signup time will only be a fixed 5 minutes instead of whatever time is set for that event.

* Added serialization support for Rectangle3D, which is used in some events and other purposes

MISC/OTHER

* It is now a requirement for tamers to be in sight of their pets while they are fighting, or loyalty will drop very fast

* The reusable spare peerless keys will now have a decay timer on them (set to only decay once boss decay time is up). These keys are not good for anything once the peerless is dead anyway, so this is just to get rid of them and avoid confusion/scam and unecessary item count.

* Some peerless key timers have been changed up

Note: Please allow some time for any of the new creatures/items to be spawned. They will be added to contentDB as well

There's a few minor issues I spotted which I'll get fixed by later tonight such as dead pets not showing up if you do not have spirit speak. For now page to have your pets rezed when they die. I kinda let that slip through with a change I made.

Shadow Iron Elemental: Immune Poison
Does this change mean that I will have to have a dexerr/tamer/miner to survive mining. Previously I could poison these as my Cu couldnt kill them.

It is now a requirement for tamers to be in sight of their pets while they are fighting, or loyalty will drop very fast
Does this change mean that if I invis my tamer when fighting, loyalty will drop?

Shouldn't your pet that you have a 'bond' with know your tactics after fighting with you so long.

Right after the update serval of our guilds AW's have died and the ghost are not visible. I am able to see them with a necromancer, but not with any characters that dont have SS.

I logged in with a empty peerless key bag in my pack on a character named Velocity after the update and I am constantly getting the "The keys have expired" message every 10 seconds...

Poison attacks will still damage them but poisoning (Deadly, lethal, regular etc) they are immune to. If you rely on infectious strikes or nox spells, they are immune to them.

Breaking the target or hiding to save your ass for sec: No.
Invising while your pet does all the work: Definitely.

The longer you hold your hidden state, the more your pet's loyalty will drop. Breaking the target requires only about 10 seconds worth of invis so that won't have much impact.

Red's fixing this at the moment. He'll launch an update to fix this later tonight but thanks for addressing it nonetheless.

Ya, that's the keys expiring. Leftover ones might be kicking in with the new change. Are they deleting from the bag? If not, we might have to manually delete those ones.

Ironically, red was talking about that a while back. Having the pet AI learn from you over the course of battle. So if you're prone to dying, it would toss you a heal or if you need to hide, it'll break the target to save your ass. That would be one hell of a system to code in though.

Also vetting your pet will slightly increase it's loyalty. In fact if you're always using vet you can maybe even get away without feeding it as much.

Unfortunately not. Locked down the timers wont show but they are still active regardless. It's just a client thing where some items don't hover when locked down.

Another thing was just brought up, how will line of sight work when dead? Is pets unbnding if dead for to long going be an issue?

Being dead is different from being alive and hidden. While dead you're given relief time to go get ressed. If you are taking way too long the loyalty will drop. Kind of the same idea as hiding. The more you hold it, the more you lose. If you're dead, your pet will sympathize and wait for your return. If you take too long, it'll lose confidence. If you hide on your pet and let it do all the work, it'll lose its faith in you and its loyalty in you will suffer.

If you stay within battle area dead and pet is still fighting then yeah it will loose loyalty - I've seen people purposely let their tamer die then let pet kill boss, so they dont have to worry about trying to stay alive - and pets like AWs do not require healing at all.

But if you die and go get rezed and come back you'll be fine, it may possibly go down a bit but not by much as while you are gone the OnThink (battle) will cease after about 1 minute to save server cpu. (on other shards it stops right away, thats why its easy to lure dragons at a dungeon entrance and they stay put)

Now if other people are around also fighting monster, what will happen is monster will eventually start to ignore the pet and pet will do the same and no longer be getting damaged by the monster unless it swaps target again.

So bottom line if you play your tamer normally you're fine, but if you try to pull off gimp tactics like invising constantly or completly leaving area you could run into issues. At no time will loyalty go down enough for it to go wild on the spot, but it may go down enough so a few command spam will make it go wild. Basically it wont listen until you vet it fully and heal it.

Also loyalty goes up higher with food if pet is healed while it is full hp. The stacked food also makes a different 10 cut of ribs will do more then 1, for example. It's not advanced to the point that a dragon eats more then a squirrel, but eventually that would not be a bad idea, as 10 cut of ribs is enough to make a squirrel explode irl but not a dragon. :P

For this reason I suggest we replace Tokuna Rice with Tokuna Bird Seed, or use bubble in lieu of rice. For the chickens sakes people.
