i found a bug with the event system

joined the ctf and went to customize my house. The event started and everyone got pulled in except me. I was hued red, but couldnt get into the event. it even stabled my yoshi. I even tried dieing and it didnt pull me into the event.

I want one of those vorpal blue "I found a bug" hats for this one. I deserve it.

Hmm yeah guessing it teleported you but the house customize context brought you right back. I'll have to disable house customization if user is in an event. Don't want to make it drop the house customization context either or it could screw up the house. Nice catch.

Still planning out a reward system for reporting bugs.....If we gave you a hat now, then everyone who reported a bug would get a hat, then we'd all be walking around in vorpal hats.

It'll be like that episode of south park where Cartman wanted one of those robo-dogs for Christmas and at the end of the episode, everyone got one and he was pissed cause it wasn't unique anymore. That episode had everything. A train made of shit and Jesus showing off his rambo skills.

Right now I don't have any plans of a system, problem is, people report bugs all the time which is great, but imagine if we started giving out special items then the shard would be filled with them.

If someone does NOT report a bug but knows about it, then its considered bug abuse and is a banable offense, but this is a case per case scenario. Like the house bug, neogeo kept using it but refused to report it. I found out from another source what the bug was, fixed it, and banned him. He was not banned for just that though but that was one major reason.

Back then we were more liberal on that but decided if we keep doing this the shard will be filled with that stuff. If it was my choice I'd actually do a shard wipe, as there's too much stuff out there that should not be. But a shard wipe will never happen.

Probably Brunus. Way back when there were less rules about how items entered the game and the type of items that were given out. As the shard grew, the staff/developers created more strict rules on everything from what is acceptable to add to how code should be organized. Without these rules, things get messy and turn into problems (Which isn't good for the shard or the ones who code it).

There's still some floating items that the old staffers/seers have floating around. They may be removed, they may not. It all depends on the item really. Some are kept as trophies while others are destroyed as we find them.

I don't give items out for free as I'll get bugged by 4 other players. It makes more sense to create some kind of system (Even then, that's something we may not end up doing). As a player, you are expected to report bugs (And for those who do, we are truly appreciative and we show our appreciation by fixing them as soon as we can). For those who abuse a bug, willingly, then they will soon feel the wrath of the system (Neogeo for those who remember this lost soul).

I know about that one just haven't checked into its origin. It'll probably be converted into recipe obtainable unless there's another system where it's more appropriate.

i gave mine back to red a long time ago. You don't have to guess on its origin, it came from Brunus.

I learn not to guess anymore. If something's cracked out it's probably Brunus' doing. Like the time I walked into this one area of land with 5 dracolich, I already knew where they came from.

it was probably somewhere that Hector and I were. He liked spawning those on us when we were just sitting around talking.
