My animal is hungry notification!

Post by lancefer »

I lost an Ancient Wyrm yesterday as I forgot to feed it (although I carry 100 cooked birds on me all the time and feed it regularly) apparently they need to be fed quite often.

I would like notification in the lower left of the screen when your pet goes down a notch in obedience (due to not being fed).

I dont know why this hasn't been implemented yet in all shards. You get notification for everything else, why not this?

hmm that could be neat. Have it depend on your animal lore skill. When you have high lore such as 115 or 120, you can passively detect if your pet is getting hungry.

Theres one... but its not just as good. When your pet disobeys, you know its hungry.

Normally it will say "*your pet looks confused*" but I could make one for each step, that would be an idea.

Mabey you could use the Buffer/De-Buffer thing for that, just a sugestion but honestly I've never made a tamer before so I'm not really sure.

I know how it is suppose to tell me my pet looks confused, but it didn't, in fact I can't recall ever seeing that message on this shard. As a tamer, here and previously on Demise, I know how to feed a pet, and the signs to look for when they are hungry. But remember these are tamables not found in most other shards, it may be a bug, incomplete script (or just plain forgotten to be added). However, I would much prefer a message on the lower left notification area as thats where all other important data is displayed. If not, the "your pet looks confused" would work too. But I think we need to check the scripts for AW's and Squirrels.

Hmm I would assume that's built in the basecreature so it should work with other pets, but given their difficulty maybe they drop status too fast. So yeah I'll see what I can do.

I had just fed an AW (5 meat at a time) have since then upped it to 15 at a time, and I accually lost ownership after about 10-15 mins after feeding. Kinda strange because it was behaving up until the point that it killed me :-)

Maybe it's because these new pets require so much more taming? I have 120 taming and lore and I notice sometimes my shadow wyrm disobeys even me at wonderfully happy. Control chance needs to be 100% at 120/120, unless you want to add 130+ taming/lore PSes :D ?
