I will just use this thread to update any bugs I find...


1> There are no bridges outside of trinsic to get to the center section of land where the waterfall is

2> 105o59'S 12o26'E Fel (maybe tram also) can't go into cave...

The waterfall part is probably a set of statics that doesn't come pre-loaded. There's a couple of spots where we had to build some statics so we can probably build a bridge there too.

I'll take a look at the cave thing. Likely a map change with client updating covered the teleporters. Yup, just checked and that's exactly what happened.

Fixed the waterfall thing. I'll look into adding a bridge a bit later.

Weird OSI never added these things to map statics, maybe it differs from shard to shard or something.

Ok now I know something is up with the treasure chests.

this all started monday (Death it was monday right) evening..

that morning (and anytime before that) pretty much every lvl 6 chest had at least some masterpiece resources in them. But starting Monday evening, thre was almost none. I just did them again and out of ~ 10 lvl 6 chests, I got 1 bag of upper level resources and no lower level.

I "usually" clean out the treasure chests in the areas I check 1-2 times a day. On Monday in the morning it was fine, in the evening and thereafter it has been sparse.

So what changed? did something get reset or pushed through? I know the changes mentioned the other week were supposed to already be here, so not sure what happened Monday...

I did do a global delete of them as lot of them were in bad spots, so wanted to force a respawn now that there is a system to ensure they don't land in bad places. So could be the ones you saw were old ones.

As mentioned before, the common masterpiece chances were lowered and the uncommon masterpiece resource chances were upped which is documented in one of the update listings (Should be in one of the news posts like, last week or something).

Chances are you were experiencing old spawners because I didn't go into each of the dungeons and force respawn (Not that I would want to as that's incredibly tedious).

There's over 500 dungeon chests spread around numerous dungeons so it's not unheard of that it would take a good week or so for all those treasure chests to get cleared out and the new ones to start spawning (That might also explain why people could not find thief armor beforehand, because the leftover level 6 chests wouldn't have had any spawned).

So any treasure chest you're hitting right now is probably a new one, spawned from the script that was updated 1 or 2 weeks ago to increase armor set drops, lower common drops and increase uncommon drops.

I can check the script for anything unusual (Such as accidently entering in an extra zero to the chance equation) I might have done during that update.

Upon further analysis, that update was April 24th, 2008. Damn does time ever fly.

Ok I am betting it was old spawners. So the global "refresh" must have been it...

I knew "something" had happened :)

Now as for the actual spawn, it seems to be making the lvl5/6 chests spawn the masterpiece (common and uncommon) and other "good" items even less often.

Like I said, it used to be that ever lvl 6 (and most lvl 5) chests ha at least a few commons in there and the occasional uncommon, now the commons are even "uncommon" :)

But if this is how you want them, so be it, just reporting the results from the field...

Well, in the beginning, commons were dropping too much in too high numbers which is the reason why they were reduced. The drops off creatures were increased and the dungeon drops lowered to balance both areas so one wasn't weighed higher than the other.

Sounds good. just letting you know what I am seeing.

Starting to see a few more "uncommon" resources and no "common" ones...

But the thief suits are showing up a little more now.. (except for the caps and arms *GRUMBLE* :)

Reminds me of the time we were collecting parts to summon Chief Paroxysmus and we kept getting the legs XD.

Ok found another one....

If I am not at max "real" skill but am at max with jewelry (ring in my case) you still gain.


So I am at 100.3 real (now ;) ) stealth, scrolled to 110 and have a ring that pushed me to 110 (+12 actually). I have had it happen 3 times where during the "they failed to reveal you" I gained in stealth.

Don't think this should happen...

Yeah its a known bug, it baffles me since there is specific code to prevent that, but it still happens anyway, so I've put it off for now. The max it will ever go is .5.
