The only problem I have with defending myself with the character I am spawning with is I am usually targeted and or poisoned by silver serpents. So I am busy enough fending those off and staying alive. I will try the blood oath and pain spike next time though.
I'm going to have to get some of those land mines also I guess.

The raid I don't mind, I know it's part of the game. I was just so damn close this time. On the upside I did get an AoA from it and got it insured before the raid.
If I could catch him at the bank I would see if he wanted to do the protection. I just want to solo it one time.

However I think the chiv dexxer works better in spawns, it's nice to have a mage there helping but level 4 it takes forever withering lots of creatures and you usually run out of mana / die before they are all gone.
With chiv you can just run around casting divine fury with a meaty double axe and just smash level 4 mobs to smitherings

12 Mins Max. JLA record with 3 people running it was 14 mins to kill him twice (one of our guys was still cleaning up the 1st ones gold when the 2nd one fell.
Usually takes me 7-12 mins to solo a coon though. Granted thats with Grims on 3 Chars.

Fact is JLA and newbs ruining the shard because they dont do much else other then raid spawns.
Means there is a shortage of scrolls and newbs cant afford them to really build a char that can get into the game.
I am all for forming a little group to do spawns. Least u can all gank anyone that turned up.
But if ur up to fighting the coon just lure him to some wierd part of the dungeon to fight so u a little less obviouse.
a nearly dead coon is like waveing money infront of a thief. U cant blame a red for going after that.

And why shouldn't I do anything but raid spawns ocasionally when I'm online? I mean seriously, have you played other shards with more population? You think raids are too frequent here then you must be even more trammy than I thought.
You have to go to Fel to get scrolls.
Felucca is the pvp facet.
Ergo when farming up powerscrolls you shoudl be expecting pvp as a part of that process.
Quit talking like raiding ruins the game. Raiding champs is one of the funamental concepts of UO that keeps many players playing the game since the facets were introduced. If you want a game without PvP then go play The Sims Online or something and gtfo UO.

Plastic is right. On any other shard you have to plan spawns and you will need the numbers there to match/outnumber raid numbers.
Small trammy guilds would never dream of doing a spawn on any shard.
My advice is to get as many scrolls as you need now because after the revamp and more people start playing you're going to have to start buying them off red guilds (most likely JLA/VvV *kiss*).
Why people bitch about raids is completely beyond me. Raiding is what reds need to do for business. They can't go to the gaunt and farm arties or do any other PvM things that amass large amounts of gold/good items.
Trammys have 3 other carebear shards to play in, if you bitch about getting killed then stay the fuck out of Felluca.

Woot! I soloed coon. I guess everyone was either sleeping or hiding and laughing at how long it took me but either way I got it done.
The scrolls sucked the best I got was a 115 wrestling, but i did get the barracoons jester hat.

good job! try it a few more times and you will get faster at it. Try the lost land spawns, you will have less of a chance of being bothered over there. Tortiose and hoppers are good areas to champ at. Try death blade summoners too, they help make things faster. I just did 3 coons, the only 120 I got was a fencing scroll. At other times I have gotten 2 or 3 120s out of a champ.
Also... it might seem like a bit of work, but make a protector to put down there at the champ with you. I use a stealth healing ninja, he rezzes me if I die and collects the protection scrolls. So actually today I got 2 120 fencings because of the protection scroll. Good luck and I hope to see you down there more often.
