What is the best pvm build.

exactly as the ? states what is the best pvm build. im trying different types but i want to know everyones opinion and it would help new poeple as well to see what others are doing.

Tamers or chivalry archers seem to do the best. Necromancers are good for tanking because of the life leeching.

Some popular ones include:
-Mage Tamer
-Discord Tamer

-Paladin Archer
-Paladin Samurai Archer

Archers use slayer bows or talismans.

well my main right now is a Necro Mage. which is kinda weird i guess lol but i like it. my other is mage tamer and i just made a chiv bushido archer ant heal tact and magic resist u see my dilema is that none can go past 100 so do i drop heal for chiv and use the extra skills for +20s?

so i do pretty good tanking

Here's my template on Red Squirrel:

-Swords
-Tactics
-Necro
-SS
-Music
-Disco
- rest in chiv

Forget what PSes I got, but mostly 110/115 skills which are kind of all over. Think disco is like 115ish but can go up to 120, swords is 115ish as well I think...

I can tank a lot of stuff with this. This template is better for tanking a single big target rather then a lot of targets though. I take the damage, but I heal it fast through leeching. I have black hole which is 3 way leech, then use vamp or wraith on top of that + curse weapon. Disco + EO1 makes me do quite a lot of damage as well so I leech more.

Stuff that I can tank include dreadhorn, chief parox, putrefier, paragon balrons, AW, skeletal dragon, humus (until it fireballs lol), bone demon, all gaunt bosses (shadowknights are hardest) and a lot more.

Major downfall though is lack of mana regen skill. So in a champ raid I can't defend at all. Once I use my mana it will be a good 5 minutes before I can get it all back if I don't find something to leech from. So don't feel too good if you kill me just because I'm the shard owner.

how do u survive without resist spells i mean does it not mean anything anymore lol

Well not so much for pvm, but yeah sometimes mobs will paralyze me and its anoying, but for pvm its not worth the 100 skill points.

But pvp wise yeah this char has low survival rate.

Resist spells is not a requirement in pvp templates but it certainly helps. If you have skills or knowledge of how to conquer resist spells, you can go without it.

There's techniques you can use like poison to break out of paralyze or potions to conteract a curse. Some people will also use evasion to block or remove curse.

For my Archer, I went with:
75 Str, 125 Dex, 50 Int,
120 Anatomy
120 Tactics
120 Archery
120 Resist
120 Focus
120 Chivalry

Using Orcish Bows + Consecrate Weapon, I get 100ish hits without discord.

For the Tamer:
125 Str, 10 Dex, 90 Int
120 Tame/Lore/Vet
120 Discord/Music
120 Magery (use only Heal instead of Greater Heal to heal self/pets, and use bandages mostly for healing pets)

Your necromage is fine. Exceptional for spawns, as well. Just make sure to have all your familiars, undeads, and that grand stuff.

You just need GM running Squirrel . . . I mean you had no mount and only Adept running? Atleast you redded me for 40 hours. . .

I say 120 in most skills is useless and a waste of time. Try to fit as much as possible I say. I also suggest a bush dexxer. There's just something rewarding about being able to melee in UO again. Brings you back to the old days where only RPers and nubs would be archers and mages were just too expensive.
