Is it possible to play game's with dvd drives that you can put into your usb ?
My pc does not have dvd drive inside it, so ive been wondering if i could buy some uotside dvd drive what goes to usb (easy enough to install for me ) and play games with it, lets say call of duty 4 and 2.
When games say they require a dvd drive, is the reading speed of usb vd drive same as one that goes inside and so on, hard to find info about this, also it seems usb drives are mostly used for burning and stuff?
but the main question is, can i play call of duty 2 and 4 with a usb dvd drive, is the reading speed enough and so on.
Thank you.

I dont know about the reading speed, but it says dvd... dvd's got any different reading speeds or dvd is always the same, or some minium?
so if the game says it needs a dvd reader, it is enough that my reader says dvd, or do i need to make sure its fast enough `?

usb is actually more then fast enough since the optical drive speed itself is slower, so it should work. Most games just check for the CD but don't use it much while game play.

I actually do this with a 10 gig USB drive. I have Daemon tools installed to the USB and an image of the games I play on the USB and when you insert the usb drive you simply fire up daemon tools and mount the image you want to play, it reads it like youve got the game in a CD/DvD drive.
