US Treasury wants your donations

Post by Chris Vogel »

Did you know you can donate to the US Treasury to reduce the national debt? The form lets you pay with a checking account or a credit card. Seriously.

Shhh! No one tell the Tea Party movement! They might have to do something other than scream about how Obama is destroying 'Merica.

Yes, because my $30 donation is really going to make a difference in paying their $9,999,032,478,967,184,905,679,821,489,673,981,483,479,256,274,798,572,367,924,78,325,472,398,623,047,329,759,253.83 dept.

I don't even think Bill Gates and Donald Trump together could make a dent in that debt.

According to Forbes, Mr. Trump is number 488 on the rich list. One could say he’s poor, relatively.

People have given around $2.5 million so far this fiscal year. Is it patriotism? Publicity?
