Polygamist Ranch Debacle

Post by Stasi »

Anyone else disturbed by what the State of Texas is doing to those poor folks? What has me disturbed are the following points:

- The raid on the polygamist ranch occurred after a phone call from an as-of-yet unidentified person who, as more details unfold, may have been someone essentially "framing" the group.
- The authorities in Texas seem to have reached a mode where they are now looking for a justification for what they did since there has been no corroborative evidence for the claims made by the person that made the phone call.

The state of texas isn't doing anything

The ones who have acted are the,

unknown caller
Polygamist ranch

If either had/have acted properly, the state of texas would be doing nothing to these (poor) folks

I don't think all the children should have been taken from the ranch and put into foster homes. That's not right.

It's sad. I can see these poor folks getting taken advantage of, big-time. I think Texas is botching the whole thing. I haven't read every article about the issue, but I don't think I've seen anything in any articles in which the State of Texas actually presents any evidence of any wrongdoing - any evidence that what they're doing is justified.
