My girlfriend of 1.5 years and i just broke up... she left me for a guy she met on the internet...
I wrote a poem about it. It's pretty emo so read it at your own risk. Also note that I am not and was not suicidal when writing it, but some of the lyrics could be taken that way.

I'm grounded from WoW until school is over. And i'd just have my friend make a horde character named after her, and i'd kill it over and over and over and over and over and over again. I'd stab it through the heart with a harpoon and try to pull it back out again, so she'll feel a bit of how she made me feel.

I suppose that was a dumb question, considering the whole harpoon thing.
nah, it was a good question. Yes, we're still going to try to be friends. Yesterday in religion she gave me a note telling me that she didn't break up with me for this guy from the internet. She also broke up with him yesterday as well. So i feel a lot less worthless and it's much easier to get over my sadness.
But i was angry on tuesday and wednesday morning, just because i was so upset. I'm not mad at her though. In fact, i think she's having a harder time dealing with this than i am now...
She's just really emotionally confused. She told me she still loves me and isn't over me yet. She also asked me if there's a chance we'll ever get back together. I am gonna talk to her about it today in person.
I don't think i can get back together with her for a while though. She needs to love herself before she can love somebody else. And she needs to figure out her own feelings before she can be with somebody. Basically, we can get back together when she doesn't need me.

She's full of crap. She doesn't have the balls to cut it off and to try and smooth out the breakup, she's dangling carrots in front of you, trying to make you think she really cares about you in the way you think, or thought she did/does.
Another possibility is that she broke up with the internet boy because she found out he's a huge loser and now can't stand the thought of not having a boyfriend (as people are impulsive and stupid and don't think ahead). So now she wants to demean you by treating you as though you're so desperate you'll always wait for her to "come around" after she goes for someone else.
Meh, whatever.

Haha I need to think of something to say if I get asked out. I'm 21 so that would not really fly.
I can maybe just start talking all geekish like...
"Sure sounds like a plan, how about next Friday, it has to be after 8:00 though since I have a server that reboots at that time and theres a core system update pending so I want to be sure I'm there in case something goes wrong. The sub system launcher has been totally recoded and it might halt when it compiles against the non native kernel module. If it does not work I'll have to recompile the sub system on that kernel instead of the one on the dev server. So yeah maybe Friday at 9:00ish would be good. "

Scherzo, to clear things up:
We've decided to not get back together for a while, until we both mature enough to have a serious relationship. I need to figure out my own independence before i can create a healthy relationship with somebody else. And she needs to get over her self-esteem issues.
Stasi...I don't think she's trying to hurt me. She's not that kind of person.
But i do miss her...a lot...it's just that i miss having somebody to hold on to when life's not the best...

Pretty much. And as much as i would love to date her again, it would be for the wrong reasons. Especially if we dated within the next few months. I don't think i'll truly be able to find a healthy relationship until college. Because i don't think i'll have any independence until then. And by college i don't think her and i will be getting back together. But i'll keep telling her there's a chance for us because if i flat out told her i didn't think we had a chance at all, that'd only hurt her. I told her maybe in college when i've found that independence, and that might be true, i may date her again in college if things work out really well, but i don't think that i'll be hanging out at home much when i'm in college. I'll probably be staying there for most weekends and making new friends. I'm leaving my past behind me...

So she asked me if I wanted to get back together with her again if we stayed the way we've been, just talking and no touching at all. So i'mma tell her no. Cause I'm not ready for that yet. I need much longer before i can figure this all out.

Women can be very confusing. My last girlfriend said that its not my job to cater to her needs but she told me what needs I had to meet for the relationship to work for her. And the needs she gave me, weren't the basic ones you had to follow to keep a relationship going. They were needs based on what she wanted. So I was completely what the **** there.
The list goes on, most of it was from Amber but there was also Blythe, Sarah, Lauren, Ashely and Shauna. All of them just about drove me insane and confused the hell outta me.
I know what kind of middle state you're talking about GG. Me and Sarah were friends like that, it did get really confusing because we were acting like a couple when we were alone but we weren't "officially" dating.

Oh kk, I just know a person in my guild named Blythe, or at least that's her Ventrilo name and what we call her...and i didn't think Blythe was a very common name...so yeah...
But is this healthy? This just cuddling thing? I need to be able to be independent without her, but it feels so good to have somebody who will hold you and make you feel safe from all the pain of life... Is this just going to hurt me/us more in the end?
