Anyone else play Civ 4? The current game I've got going is setup with six continents and six players, including myself. I'm playing as the Persians and am in the lead, technologically, though I'm slipping in other demographic measurements. I just started a war with the Celts, who are the only other civilization I have contact with, because they are poised to be a major competitor later on. My war effort is to bring them down a few rungs and establish my own incontestible dominance in our region.

Yeah I play(ed) it. It's a lot better than 3. I used to play on LAN but my ally never helped they way allies should. 
Oooh, 200 gold. What can I even do with that in 2080? Or whatever year it was.

Civilization IV
I gave up on the game as the Persians and started one as the French with five rivals and five continents. I got lucky with a good-sized continent that I all but control entirely. I've discovered all technologies except for the first Future Tech, but that's no big thing right now.
