How to tell if a person is gay?

My room mate is very ambiguous. He has a girlfriend, yet, I kind of get this feeling he is gay, or bi. it creeps me out sometimes, cause he looks at me out of the corner of his eye. also he always talks about cock. Today he wrote on my other room mates board i like cock, and i am gay. now that i think was just out of fun. People have asked if he was gay, even his own parents did one time. do i have reason to believe he is gay or bi?

I think the real question you need to be asking is "would it bother you if he was?" I guess the only way you could know is to ask him about it seriously. But you really don't want to press too hard on such an issue.

Though you may just be thinking about this too seriously. It's not terribly abnormal for a straight guy to talk about cock a lot. I mean it's pretty obviously a big part of any guy's life, just some don't like to talk about it as much.

Well me and my friends dont find any thing wrong about pre tending your gay but if he ends up touching you and not in a... well yes in a playful way then hes gay.

sometimes its really hard to tell. I recall someone that used to play UO and I knew him irl too and in game we'd joke around as if we were gay and stuff. RPing if you will.

Well it turned out he was gay irl, that kind of made me sick when I found out. I had trouble taking it at first, but yeah it happens. :/ Not the right choice, but nothing you can do about it really.

Now if your room mate IS gay, and that there's no options other then you both having to live together, then you better hope he finds a partner fast

I think he is just looking for confidential advice (about himself), and not whether his friend is an ass pirate or not.

My only conclusion to this is a subliminal message hidden in his questioning... Something along the lines of:

"I think my roommate is gay, I wish to know so that I can make a move on him when we're next alone and put my pinky inside his sh*t factory. I'm not actually at all convinced he is a marmite miner but I know I am so I'm curious as to whether I have any hope of excavating his chocolate starfish."

Wow, the US has some serious mis-interpretations in comedy. This sort of thing is funny over here.

This isn't a dig, I just mean in general, my friends mum is American (Well, Canadian) and I remember telling her something like "my mum works for life insurance company and died the next day"... She practically cried.

If we're basing wit around US standards then I'd say I'm out of my league. 'Humor' in US terms usually means someone getting hurt in a ridiculous way.

But I was genuinely curious as to why the guy is posting about his gay roommate only 9 posts into his registration. But in England, exaggaration of homosexuality in all ways is funny.
