What's for dinner?

Post by Vixen »

This may be lame but- would everyone like to share what they have for dinner through out the week. I need ideas... I need to break the repetition.

My mom is bad for making porkchops and rice, its a meal I detest, but stuck eating so often. I hate rice (particularly hers, there's something she does to it that ruins it, but dont have the guts to tell her the chinese place makes it 100 times better) and pork chops, well i'm not a big fan of big meats. steak, ribs, porkchops etc... and that type of stuff. Chicken is a different story though, I like chicken. :D Those poor birds get killed then cooked in so many different ways. :P

We haven't had any time recently to do any cooking, but tend to make up dishes out of what we have on hand. We try to keep mushrooms, tomatoes, avocados, bell peppers, garlic, and a few fresh herb on hand. The last memorable thing I can recall at this moment was salmon with bell peppers and mushrooms au jus topped with a mango avocado salsa.

We're big fish fans, and try to buy fresh fish when we can, but lately we haven't had any on hand, the last thing we cooked were tacos; you know - meat, beans, cheese, tomatoes, etc... Super easy stuff.
