Ok so Im not sure how well this works since its been a while since i admined anywhere and I dont know if it works but here is a script by CEO that was made to search for afkers and might make being the AFK police easier.

Even though posting this might make some people mad at me :P

Hmm looks cool. But AFK is not too big of an issue here yet, the stuff like hornet nests and elementals take care of most of em, or simply discourage from trying. Though no matter what there will always be the ones who try to get around these things, but we handle it on case per case basis.

I didn't look at the link, but I think he was trying to get you to remove the hornest and stuff. Then replace them with the RUO script.

no the hornets an elementals are a pain but I see the point. This system from what i understand calls up a gump for the staffer and lets them see whos on, how long they been on and some other info and flags potential afkers and gives the GM the choice to ban/jail afkers via a test sent to people flagged as possible. if they dont respond to the gump in a reasonable amount of time they get jailed/booted.

So from what I understand its fairly automated but can be used directly by GMs if they wish. If it works right it could replace the hornets and random ele spawn altogether or it could work in concert with those systems.

AFKers solved.

This basically only solves the problem of recalling resource gatherers...but I do agree. Randomizing did help a lot. Regardless, like Red said, AFK gathering doesn't seem to be a huge issue here. Also, I think some of the staff solutions to AFK gathering here are much more entertaining than simple jail time.
