New Roulette Reward

I think it would be completely awesome if you could get special color reasources from gambling maybe and preferably instead of reagents. I mean who that has arties to gamble actually uses reagents anymore? Its like the most annoying prize on there and is more useless than powders of fortification/translocation.

But yeah maybe not much but say 200 blood boards instead of 100 each reg or somethin. Chance for 200 Dull copper (reasource Deed). you know Somethign that would actually be a prize if not a huge prize.

That's not a bad idea. Not exactly "In place of" those but perhaps a random within that list so sometimes you get a bad of reagents, sometimes you get a commodity deed with ingot in it.

I also still need to tweak ore spawn chances, think they're a bit low atm.

Potions. Refresh (damn pain spike), cure (damn assassins), and I dunno if dexxers use them still but strength and dex pots used to be very popular.

It's not too hard to make an alchemist so potions aren't a big thing. Not to mention the reg shops have tons of reagents. Also, in the future when the new potions get created there will be a higher market and need for alchemists

My point with the pots was that that is what the bag of regs are good for. Free regs = free pots.

What would be a good idea though, instead of giving the resources for artis, give for just the scrolls, and a little arti chance for 120 scrolls or something.

If you dive into the roulette code, think you could take bags off? They are SO easy to get without this, it's rediculous. Powder too, it's even easier.

I like the powder as a reward, it saves 30-60 mins of boring fungi farming. IIRC, the monsters only drop 2 or 3 fungi each, unlike other shards where they can drop up to 15 per monster. Or maybe I am just a fungi hoarder...

I like the Idea of switching it to where scrolls do reasources/ bag of regs.

One thing I dont like is how low the chance of getting ANYthing is. i think there should be a higher rate on how often you get regs and reasouces(hopefully) I mean even if your spinning a ltot or 110 scroll you did spend time and/or effort to get it. just think itd be nice to get i dunno 200 boards for it or something.

So summed up I'm saying I think there should be a higher chance to get minor reward.

Yeah will be adding boards.

The minor resources like the regs are actually in the "crappy prize" list, so they're not meant to be ubber, its basically a step better then getting noxed or killed. :P

Stuff like PSes are set very low because people have tons of them, and they're easy enough to get compared to artys. Like you do one champ and can get up to 12 pses vs 1ish arty in a gaunt run.

yeah, the chances are pretty good right now. except maybe a little more variety than all those bags of sending. they are pretty nice, don't get me wrong.

This morning I rolled 12 champ scrolls, mostly 110s. Plus 3 or 4 105s and 1 aoa. I got 3 bags of sending and some regs.

There's definately a few things that merit being added to the roulette system:

-Colored logs/ingots/hides
-Special gems (amber, blue diamond, etc)
-Recipes (When that massive minor list is created)

Just finding a decent spot for them and different chances.

perhaps scrolls could have a slim chance of getting a non-rerollable marty. There arent a lot of marties in the game, and some are fun items to have.

The reason theres not any artys on the roulette is to not take away from the other systems. So theres only AoAs, for minors you still need to get them the old way such as paragons, named ML creatures, etc.

Though part of the fun is getting AoAs that you can choose to reroll. Like the greater AoAs are almost 100% chance, so you can be lucky and get one you want, or unlucky and get just a lesser AoA.

Let me clarify. I wasnt saying i dont like the chances per se i was saying that I dont think by adding minor rewards you should kill the chances on the good rewards because its hard enough to roll those odds now. I was saying that they should be added in somewhere between BOS, Bags of Regs, and the high end prizes. :)

Oh yeah thats how its setup, it checks for big reward, if it fails, then before going to the killing etc it checks against a minor reward. So the minors are actually in their own case block. So the more I add, it wont affect chances of big rewards, but it decreases chance of death.

All the minors are also ordered in a way that the best ones are harder to get. The (reg/sending) bags probably last, so thats why they drop so much.
