Lies

what exactly is a lie? the other day I walked my gf down the street so and her and my lil sister went to the library. They said "we'll be back", then when they were down there, they decided just to go to her house, without saying anything to me, would tht be considered a lie, or am I just over-reacting? I'm over it, and it no longer matters, but I just wanted ta know.....

I think a lie would be if it would have been done on purpose, but if they said they were going to the library, and did have the intention to go but just changed their minds after, it would not really be a lie, but if they said that to trick you somehow but had intentions to go to the house, it would probably be considered a lie.

For misinformation to be a 'lie', it must be an INTENTIONAL deception, as Red suggested.

I do that kind of stuff all the time. I say I'm going somewhere and I go I just get tired of being there and my friend and I decide to go chill at her house or what not. I don't think she lied, She just wanted to do something different, and I agree with Red and stasi it has to be intentional and deceptive to be a lie

yeah, I was thinkin the same thing thats why I really don't care. I just wanted to see what you think. The only reason I got mad is ecause I was really counting on spending more time with her. But it's cool now.
