Last week I picked up the 1997 remake of 'Humanoids from the Deep'. It was an ok re-do until the latter part of the film... In the original, there's this festival going on at this pier, and all the humanoids start attacking, bursting through the floorboards, etc. In the remake, there's a point at which the protagonists deduct that this festival up the coast a bit is going to be attacked by these things so they head that way. The majority of this scene takes place in a house of mirrors place. The rest of it is footage from the old friggin' movie! Yeah, it was pretty funny to see shots at the start of the scene showing people in '90s clothings and hair and then see a bunch of humanoids breaking through the floorboards scaring a bunch o' late '70s/early '80s types.... Just thought I'd share that here, in case anyone else likes a good laugh by a hilariously awful 'horror' flick.
