no, not internet explorer, exsplorer, notice the "S", it's a shortcut to a sex site, and it also adds a spanish phone connection, I've tried deleting these, I've tried everything, they refuse to leave!

Bit of malware that. If you havent already try Ad-aware and Spybot S&D.

Yeah that's most likely malware. If it's not, it's a virus. Do you use IE as your main browser? If yes, it's probably a hijack.

Did you try using Ad-Aware or Spybot in Safe Mode? If you didn't, reboot your comp and press F5 before Windows starts loading. You'll get a menu. Just select the plain on one that'll start up Safe Mode (networking is unimportant).

Then run the anti-ad/spyware apps and reboot. See if that does the trick.

If you still can't get rid of it, then here is a means by which you should be able to incapacitate it...

Goto Start > Run > and type 'gpedit.msc' (without the apostrophes, of course).

Expand the trees and right-click on 'Additional Rules' and select 'New Path Rule'. Use this image at this link I uploaded to as a guide:

http://www.manymanythings.com/images/gpedit.jpg

In the next window, you will 'browse' to the problem executable and leave the default setting of 'Disallowed'. This will make it so that even though the executable is on your computer and you can't get rid of it, it can neither be used by you (by double-clicking), nor should be it be usable by any kind of auto-load batch file. Oh, and don't navigate and select the shortcut to apply the restriction to, find the actualy executable file. To find the path to the executable, right-click on a shortcut and select 'properties'.
