Print screen only works in NT based operating systems. In 9x you need to press CTRL+ALT+DEL+DEL (Yes, that's DEL twice).

To take a screenshot, press SHIFT+PRINTSCREEN. If your keyboard has an 'F Lock' key, make sure it's not activated when you try it.
Then open a photo editor and 'Paste'. You'll see the snapshot of your computer screen.

The best way to do it is to Delete all your history on the site you're trying to Printscreen...
Then hit Alt + F4

And say no to that "do you want to save changes". You really don't want to save stuff in paint since it's not good for the computer.
LOL brings me memories of my sister's college 486 we had in the house for a bit. I used to play in paint but I could not save since "it takes way too much space"

In linux there's this folder where you can store stuff in and it does not take any space. it's really cool.
It's /dev/null.

Yep, you have to put it in /dev/null.
There's a catch though. You can retrive the files after.
