Labyrinth is a Malas Dungeon not a Ilshenar Dungeon [fixed]
I've noticed the difficulty and craziness of the Labyrinth dungeon when some of the crazy bosses and monsters there become paragons. According to Stratics, that should be a Malas dungeon and not an Ilshenar dungeon. The fact that it is now is just a wierd region and ruleset issue it seems.

Notice that it is in the Malas category.
Twisted Wield is the only one that should be a Ilshenar dungeon with possible paragons.

We know it's in malas but be that as it may, there were talks about "paragons" in there from different sources (I'll try to find the passages a bit later). If it's a real nuissance, we can take it out.

Yeah I mentioned it in General Discusion when I was asking for help with taming reptalons. I'm just trying to figure the point of that place a bit. It is supposed to work like a champ spawn type of place? It's not like the other ML dungeons with peerless keys.Seer Death wrote:We know it's in malas but be that as it may, there were talks about "paragons" in there from different sources (I'll try to find the passages a bit later). The main purpose was quest driven in the Elvish city. You would pick up a quest that required you to get artifacts from the far other side. 5 of them and something like 20-100 gaman horns netted you a nice little chest of goodies. Of course, with this server the chest of goodies would pale in comparison to normal loot. Maybe if Squirrel intigrated it he could use it as a nice way to aquire decent talismans. Right now there are a relative few ways for a new player to get decent talisnabns.
That was a OSI quest. It typically favored stealthers otherwise you'd die too much. Also, they were blessed when you picked em up.

On OSI, the Labyrinth is actually a champ spawn. It was never documented, but the players have figured it out. The champ is Meraktus and he is, of course, an asshole of a minotaur. I've done some searches on different forums and managed to find a couple screens of some people doing it. It's apparently extremely hard and time consuming, so very few people care to try it out.
Unlike the other champ spawns, it doesn't have an altar or anything. From what I've read, when a new "level" is achieved, a message appears on the bottom of the screen saying something like, "An minotaur captain calls for reinforcements." This happens until Meraktus shows up. Of course, you also have to deal with the named beasts as well during the spawn.

Oh, most likely. But I do know that one of the most common-place reasons for going there was to get the artifacts.
They nerfed the loot quite a bit on 'em but it was still a very worthwhile way to gather loot.

Yeah, the ML arties could potentially be good due to the number of named things are there. I mostly just go there for the reptalons, and the occasional dryad allure of the minitaurs.

Sorry I am being confusing. I mean the "Minitaur Artifacts." They are greenish in hue and blessed when you pick em up. 5 Minitaur artifacts + 20 gaman horns = first a strongbox of loot . . . then just a box of loot(They nerfed it or something so you couldn't get strongboxes). You talked to a dude in the Elvish city to turn 'em in.
If integrated, I highly suggest sweet talisman lewt

That can be done. Just need some more information on it. Should not be too hard to do. As for the loot we can make it drop talismans and better goodies as it's a rather involved quest and might be a little dangerous.theindigothief wrote:Sorry I am being confusing. Yup we know about that system. Unlike a regular champion spawn with the champion altar, this one is a spawner stage. When you kill enough minotaurs, you score some points (So killing regular minotaurs equals so many points while killing captains or scouts gives more points). When the total amount of points hits a certain threshold, everyone in the dungeon gets a message. After 3 messages appear on the screen, Meraktus appears (Greyish minotaur of pwnage).Nexus Graveheart wrote:On OSI, the Labyrinth is actually a champ spawn. We are planning on adding this in the game as well, but a different spawner system has to be created as it's rather unique. We also need to figure out a way to make it worthwhile. As it's a rather involved system and a difficult dungeon, we might have it drop common peerless resources and special resources such as fire red rubies.
