Anybody heard the new Nine Inch Nails Album?

Seems like a bit of a step back, to me. Like he was trying too hard to move foward and ended up leaving something behind.

I've heard a couple of tracks, that I liked, but it's no TDS or Broken. I'm reserving my overall opinion until I hear it more, but I'm fairly certain it's going to be a positive review.

Bought it this weekend. I like it, but don't love it. I don't see it as a step back, but it isn't a step forward either. It seems to be pretty average with a few pretty good songs, and a few not so great ones. My biggestest complaint is that the drums sound kinda redundant as the album goes on, NIN, used to have interesting, unorthidox drumming.

Overall: 3 1/2 stars (0-5)

There are a few songs that already are getting stuck in my head, and the single is good(which is a rarity, as far as I've noticed, in mainstream music).

Well, I've heard one song out of the whole album, and it has kept me FAAAAR away from it.

Bite the Hand that Feeds.

My reason not to touch the album.

I like that song, but then I like more than just one style of music.

What're you getting at with that? o.O

I just don't want to buy that album.

Nothing more than you seem to like only a certain music style, so it's not surprising you wouldn't like this album.

Uhhh. No, I don't like a certain 'style' of music. I like metal, rock, techno, sometimes punk.

Nine Inch Nails just rubs me in the wrong way, maybe if they put a better song than Bite the Hand that Feeds to promote their album, I might've bought it. I just don't like that song. It gets annoying.

It's subjective, if you're a rock and metal fan, NIN probably falls into your taste preferences, just not your specific taste I suppose. The way you talk about music, and what you don't like, it doesn't seem you like much rock and metal, only certain types. On the other hand, I like that song and don't think it gets annoying, though it's certainly not their best.

Maybe, I don't really want to get you to hate me cause of music

But, yeah. There are 'certain' types I like, I see what you're saying. I don't like all rock.. all metal, all of that and stuff. I like certain ones who fit the standards I like.

My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, Opeth, Disturbed, Greenday, System of a Down, U2, Three Days Grace.

Kind of ranged.

Yeah, that's an interesting range, ya know, U2 next to Avenged Sevenfold. :D

We all have our standards we hold music to, it's interesting to see different people's standards. I'm a big System and NIN fan from back a ways, so while this album is no The Downward Sprial, it's got the sound I love from NIN; grungy bass, some neat synth, and overdriven/fuzzy distortion.

As long as you don't unjustly insult my music choices, I won't hate ya! I like people who like music. :)

I'm going to do the same thing I did with System of a Down too!

As I told Sintekk 'I'm just going to call it Country'
